Briefly

Kit works with acrylics, pens, photography, words, cartoons, gummi bears, ice cream, badges and embroidery – and on expanding the list of what she works with. Always based on an idea. Conceptually.
She has participated in more than 50 exhibitions. She regularly donates work to charity projects and has sold to several private collections.
She advises everyone to invest in her art now - before prices go through the roof. Don't say she didn't tell you! ;-)
Kit is a member of Atelier PRAG 61 in Copenhagen, home to 20 artists.
British artist Philip Gurrey has written this about Kit's art.
A bit longer
Kit Kjølhede Laursen was born in 1969 on the west coast of Denmark, in a small town called Lemvig - aka the 'dimple' of the west coast due to its picturesque location. Since growing up in Lemvig, a mixture of studies, work and coincidences has brought her to Dublin, Boston, Paris, Montréal, Warsaw and Copenhagen, where she currently lives.
Kit has always had an interest in languages and foreign countries.
First, she took a Master Degree in International Business and languages which led to a career in diplomacy, focusing on the internationalisation of companies. She has worked for The Trade Council at the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs for 15 years in this field, based abroad as well as in Denmark.
Despite a successful career in international business, her artistic and creative side grew ever stronger, eventually becoming impossible to ignore.
Therefore, in 2005, Kit began serious art studies at the private Copenhagen-based art school Ignatius.dk and has since managed to change her career.
Today, she works primarily as an artist. She is also a freelance journalist, translator and art teacher and strives to continuously explore new possibilities and pursue exciting projects.
